Cetti Falls II

This was the end of the hike.  He is yawning.  We did this earlier than he wakes up most mornings.  But you have to hike early otherwise the sun will get you.
Yet another waterfall we went up.  This one there was no rope, you had to go through the pool of water to the right side and scale it from there.  The pool of water, or muck at the bottom I should say, would generate methane gas.  So when you walked through it, it smelled really bad.
Another view going up.
This one had a rope.  I'm already on top.
More of the hike.  There was a rope here, but you didn't need it as much.
View coming out of the hike.  We are out of the valley.  The guy in the pic is a big scuba diver and has a really sweet waterproof camera.  Puts the gopro to shame.  That's what he's using (I think).
I love this shot because it looks really steep.  I don't think it was that steep.  But it was a good climb.
Climbing.  This is after we passed all the waterfalls.  We are starting to get out of the valley.
This is going through the methane gas pool.  It was gross.
Some of the guys.
Ascending one of the waterfalls.
This was actually the first waterfall.  The first one was the hardest.
Over the river and through the woods...
I fell down.  That wasn't expected.  But we are going down anyway, so it's all good.
The gang.  They are all my co-workers except the guy on the very left, he's another attorney that works elsewhere.  He is also leaving soon.

Cetti Falls Hike

This is the beginning of the trail.  Then it started to go down, down, down.  You had to butt slide it.  Once in the valley, you hit the river which is where the rest of the pics are from.  They are out of order because there are two camera downloads here and I am still learning this blogger thing.
In front of the second falls we climbed up.  See the rope behind my head?  You hang onto that.
Coconut growing.
These are two people I work with who were with me.  The guy in yellow is sort of the leader of the group.  He's so in shape it's not funny.  I aspire to be like him.  Sadly, he moves this week so I won't get to learn more awesomeness from him.  He has given me links to a bunch of the races on Guam, so at least I have that.
This was before the climb I posted about above.  This is going up the river to the bigger waterfalls.  He jumped off into the pool of water.
Some of the view going down to the valley.  They had a rope in case you needed it, but at this point you really didn't.
Me, before we really got going.  It's very sweaty here so you can always tell when a picture is before or after a hike.

Marbo Caves

These are Marbo Caves.  I went with three other JAGs and then there was another one there with his family.  The caves are a short walk from the shoreline.  We had fun swimming.  The passageway leads to another pool.  The water really is that blue.
